🌟 Introducing Our Project Partner: HZI – Department of Epidemiology 🌟
We’re proud to spotlight the Department of Epidemiology (EPID) at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) as a key partner in the PCR-4-ALL project. EPID brings deep expertise in studying the causes, risk factors, and prevention of infectious diseases through large-scale cohort studies, innovative diagnostics, and advanced modelling.
🔬 Focus Area: Infectious Diseases Epidemiology & Digital Surveillance
Within the PCR-4-ALL initiative, EPID is assessing the feasibility of various testing strategies to detect acute respiratory infections. By utilizing the PIA platform for real-time data collection and study management, they are comparing two distinct testing approaches in a cohort setting. Additionally, their team is developing predictive models to assess how different strategies impact detection rates across various scenarios—offering essential insights to support economic modeling by our partners in Verona.
With their robust digital infrastructure and modelling expertise, HZI’s EPID team is advancing the future of public health preparedness and disease prevention.
🌍 Together, we are building smarter, more responsive tools for global diagnostics and surveillance. Stay tuned for more innovations from the PCR-4-ALL project! 🚀
